Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna & more — care that’s within reach
Therapy where you don’t have to translate yourself.
For Latino, Latina, Latinx and Latine clients — and anyone who wants a therapist who understands what it means to live between worlds.
So much of growing up Latino or Hispanic in Chicago means holding two worlds at once — the language at home and the one at work, the expectations of familia and the life you’re building for yourself. Therapy should be the one room where you can bring all of it, without explaining the basics first.
Our clinicians bring lived experience — first-generation, Mexican-American, mixed, queer, bicultural — together with evidence-based care like CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS and art therapy. Several offer sessions in Spanish or Spanglish, so you can say it the way it actually lives in you.
We understand that healing often happens in relationship: with your family, your community and your history. That’s why our work is collaborative, culturally responsive and paced to you — never rushed, never one-size-fits-all.
And because care should be within reach, we accept Illinois Medicaid plans alongside major commercial insurance, with offices in Logan Square and River North and telehealth across the state.

“I truly feel that I had found my calling.”
A first-generation Latina and bilingual social worker, Carla Hernandez helps adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma and life’s transitions — en inglés o en español.
Being a first-generation Latina, I saw glimpses of social work everywhere in my upbringing within my family and my community.
- When did you know?
- “I have known I’ve wanted to be a social worker since I was thirteen years old! I was assigned a project in my English class… I took the project a little too seriously, and continued to research after the assignment was turned in.”
- What should new clients know?
- “Therapy can be awkward and uncertain at first! There are some sessions you may walk away feeling as though you conquered your biggest obstacle. Other times you may walk away with more questions. I look forward to working through all of this along with you.”
What our clients bring into the room.
