About Me
Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and feel supported as you navigate life’s challenges. I see it as a place to ask meaningful questions, deepen your self-understanding, and explore the choices that shape your path forward.
My approach is rooted in creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can be open and honest with yourself. My role is to walk alongside you, offering safety, encouragement, and space to explore the difficult questions we often push aside in the busyness of daily life. I draw from trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and strength-based approaches to meet you where you are.
Together, we can reflect on past experiences to better understand patterns and habits while also focusing on the present and the future you want to create.
As a Latina woman, I am passionate about making therapy accessible and inclusive, especially for communities that have historically faced barriers to care. My goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered in your healing journey. If you feel we might be a good fit, I’d be glad to connect with you!
I became a social worker to turn my passion for advocacy into a toolkit of professional skills, allowing me to stand alongside individuals as a dedicated ally during their most challenging moments.
Why did you decide to become a social worker/counselor?
What types of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am so excited to be working with adolescents in a clinical setting! My career began with a passion for supporting children as they reach their behavioral goals, and I am thrilled to bring that same energy and dedication into the therapy room to support young people as they navigate their unique journeys. As a Latina clinician, I am excited to serve the Hispanic community. I am driven by the goal of creating a safe, representative space where Latina women can find the visibility and support they deserve.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
In our sessions, your voice is the most important one in the room. I want you to feel empowered to ask questions, challenge ideas, and take notes. Creating a safe, therapeutic space is a collaborative effort, and I encourage you to lean into curiosity as we learn and grow together.
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling?
Ashe's mission aligns with my core values in providing accessible, trauma-informed, client-centered care.
