“What inspires me most is seeing people recognize their own strength and capacity for growth. It’s incredibly meaningful to witness clients gain new insight, build resilience, and begin to see themselves with more compassion. ”

About Me

First-generation Mexican American, proudly born and raised in Chicago. I love traveling and exploring new places whenever I can. I’m also a big animal lover and share my home with a dog, two cats, and two chickens. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, finding a new show to binge, and spending time with friends and family.

As a therapist, I take a compassionate, honest, and holistic approach, recognizing the important connection between the mind, body, and emotional well-being. I believe therapy is a space for growth, self-compassion, and building emotional resilience. My work is collaborative and strengths-based, and I incorporate evidence-based practices, including person-informed, CBT, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I look forward to supporting and guiding clients as they move forward on their unique therapy journey.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

As a first-generation Mexican American, I grew up noticing the lack of accessible mental health resources in my community. Many people faced stigma, cultural barriers, or limited access to support. These experiences inspired me to pursue counseling so I could help bridge that gap and provide a space where individuals feel understood and supported. I’m passionate about helping others build resilience, develop coping skills, and feel empowered in their healing journey.

What types of clients are you most excited to work with?

I’m especially excited to work with individuals who are beginning their therapy journey for the first time and are ready to prioritize their mental health. Taking that first step can feel intimidating, and I enjoy helping clients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe space. I’m passionate about working with individuals who want to better understand themselves, build healthier coping skills, and develop greater emotional resilience.

I also value working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have felt that mental health resources were not always accessible or culturally understood. My goal is to create a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel heard, validated, and encouraged as they work toward meaningful growth and healing.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many people feel like they need to be in a crisis or have the “right words” to explain what they’re going through, but therapy is simply a space for you to show up as you are. It’s okay to feel unsure, nervous, or not know where to start, that’s part of the process.

Therapy is not about being perfect; it’s about growth, self-understanding, and learning new ways to care for your mental and emotional well-being. Taking the step to prioritize your mental health is a powerful act of self-care, and you deserve support along the way
