They/them
“I find inspiration all around me- I find it filling the sky as the sun rises; in the flowers blooming in spring; in my little brother who taught himself how to play the drums; in my friends who live their lives authentically and without shame; in every act of random kindness from a stranger. Inspiration lives all around us, we just have to be willing to look with intention.”

About Me
I believe that each session should be rooted in empathy, compassion, and inclusivity, creating a safe and judgment-free space where we can explore together. Explore what, you might ask? Many people seek therapy because something in their life isn’t working, or because challenging emotions or past experiences are holding them back. This is especially true for many queer youth and adults alike. My goal is to walk alongside clients as we work collaboratively to process the past, deepen self-understanding, cultivate mindfulness, and build the confidence to make choices that align with their values and goals.
I recently graduated from the Jane Addams College of Social Work master’s program at the University of Illinois Chicago and am now a part-time therapist at Ashé Counseling, where I continue working toward obtaining my clinical license. My work is grounded in a holistic, client-centered approach that honors the full complexity of each individual’s lived experience.
As a queer, non-binary, mixed-Latinx, first-generation clinician, I understand the importance of representation and the impact of navigating systems that were not designed with intersectionality in mind. When we enter a therapeutic relationship with someone who truly sees us, that connection can become a powerful source of healing and a foundation for lasting, positive change. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-esteem, interpersonal challenges, or life transitions, I am here to support and advocate for you throughout your growth journey.
As passionate as I am about this work, I am equally committed to maintaining balance in my personal life. For me, self-care includes reading Tarot, exploring the city, spending time with loved ones, creative writing, dancing to house and techno, gaming, reading fantasy novels, engaging in my own therapy, and practicing meditation...or sometimes simply allowing myself to rest!
In many ways, I feel that social work chose me. Early in my life, I witnessed the profound difference a social worker can make. That experience became a guiding force in my path, inspiring me to support others and help facilitate positive, sustainable change in their lives.
Why did you decide to become a social worker/counselor?
What types of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking support and are open to approaching their growth with curiosity and introspection. I am especially passionate about supporting queer youth and adults, particularly those who feel ready for change but aren't quite sure where to start.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Healing doesn’t follow a straight path or a set timeline. It’s okay to take your time, to sit with uncertainty, and to show up just as you are. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “broken,” but about nurturing growth, deepening understanding, and feeling truly seen. I’ll be there to walk beside you, at your pace, as your story continues to unfold.
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling?
I recognize that access to mental health care is still out of reach for many individuals and families. Being part of a space like Ashé, which works to reduce these barriers, is deeply meaningful to me. I am also inspired by the word “Ashé,” derived from the Yoruba language and meaning “the power to make things happen.” It speaks to my belief that change is always possible, and it’s a perspective I carry into my work with clients.
