I am a bilingual/bicultural (Vietnamese-Chinese-English) Licensed Professional Clinician at Ashe Counseling and Coaching Services. 

I am often described as warm, fun, adventurous, curious, and empathetic. My clients have described me as helpful, collaborative, and caring with a side of humor. 

 

When working with clients, my goal is to create a collaborative team to help encourage change and progress. It is important to me that I create a safe space for clients to explore their authentic self. I believe the client is the expert in their life and my role is to work with them to better highlight their individuality and support their next life goals. I utilize a range of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to explore trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem and life transitions. It is important to me to help clients understand the science of mental health as well as the spiritual and emotional parts of their identity.

 

I am a Chinese-Vietnamese American female. I was born and raised in Chicago. I attended the Chicago School of Professional Psychology for my Masters’ Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Addiction. I have worked as a therapist in Community Health with children and adults exploring themes of abuse, addiction, trauma and depression. It is important to me that clients feel comfortable and safe to share their stories with me. 

 

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with nature through gardening, hiking, and mushroom foraging. In between sessions, you can find me taking long walks with my miniature dachshund, Kuma, and decompressing with cooking competition shows
