Taneisha Hopson, LPC
(she/her/hers)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and therapist at Ashe Counseling and Coaching. I am often described as loyal, fun-loving, compassionate, and kind. My clients experience me as trustworthy, observant, empathetic, and non-judgmental. Each client is an expert on their own lives, but how beneficial is it to have a personal advocate promoting further self-awareness and eliciting systemic change. I love to work collaboratively with clients as they enhance their emotional intelligence and ultimately experience dynamic growth.

Counseling should not be viewed as the last resort when one feels as though troublesome factors have infiltrated their lives, but rather use counseling as a tool to help guide one through life's daily stressors. We all feel less than stellar sometimes, for others those feelings are more persistent. If you need help navigating through a rocky journey albeit negative relational patterns, eradicating weaknesses, or reducing feelings of inferiority, then you've come to the right place.

My goal is to assist clients with their current issues, while empowering them to overcome the past & strive for a better quality of life. Ultimately with my help I would like my clients to enhance their emotional intelligence thereby becoming more resilient and better equipped to deal with challenges. I believe that empathic listening & encouragement is a must! Personally, there is no greater reward than knowing you have provided a person with tools that are beneficial for a purposeful journey. In order to do so, I utilize skills learned through a multitude of therapeutic approaches including Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. My areas of specialty include anxiety and depression, life transitions, trauma, interpersonal relationships and adjustment issues.
