A Bit About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as both a Clinical Director and therapist at Ashe Counseling andCoaching. I am often described as silly, caring, and thoughtful. My clients experience me as supportive, open-minded and grounding. I believe in uncovering and uplifting your unique strengths, creating an individualized experience while holistically accounting for the identities and systems that impact your world. We will work in collaboration to establish openness and safety as you build towards greaterhealing and wholeness. I work from a decolonizing, systemic lens in therapy. I utilize a range of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Feminist Therapy to explore trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD), anxiety, life transitions, personal growth and self-esteem. I am first generation Ugandan-American, born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I moved to the South Side of Chicago for college and fell in love with the people, food and culture. I went to TheUniversity of Chicago for my undergraduate degree, majoring in human development. I then earned my Masters in Social Work from Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice at The University of Chicago and specialized in Family Support. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family andfriends. Some of the joys in my life include going to festivals, laying at the beach, hiking, watching TV, and listening to afro-beats.

Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling & Coaching LLC
It was recommended by a trusted friend and once I learned more about Ashe, I loved how they provide
quality therapy to everyone. And the fact the practice is called, “Ashe” says it all.
My top 3 feel good songs
Seeking therapy can be scary and then going to therapy can be even scarier. Therapy challenges you to see yourself in a way that you normally wouldn’t
