A Bit About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Ashe Counseling and Coaching. I am often described as an advocate and problem-solver. My clients would describe me as caring and a cheerleader. I am an advocate for social justice and my work as a professional lies at the intersection of healing and justice.

I believe that healing is possible for all and that through the therapeutic relationship, we can partner together in the healing journey. In my practice, I work to connect and understand my client’s issues so that they feel seen and heard.  My therapy style lends itself to an insight-oriented approach that encourages clients to reflect and make meaning of past-present connections. Additionally, I use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to support clients in deconstructing irrational beliefs and developing a healthier sense of self. I am a trauma-focused Clinician, trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) who supports clients in identifying and managing trauma triggers to improve well-being.

I am originally from Detroit, Michigan but the South Side of Chicago has been my home for over a decade. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development & Social Relations at Kalamazoo College. I attended the University of Chicago for my Master’s in Social Work and Loyola University for my Master’s in Children’s Law & Policy.

When I’m not working, I love wandering out in nature. You can find me riding my bike, finding a new walking path, and daydreaming at the lakefront. I am a plant mom of 20+ plants and a proud auntie!
