I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker residing here in Louisiana as a therapist at Ashe’ Counseling and Coaching. I am often described as down-to-earth, funny, optimistic, cheerful, charismatic, and honest by friends. My clients have described me as honest, empowering, trustworthy, and, non-judgmental respectful. As a therapist, I find joy in each client having that “light bulb” moment. The moment they realize the power they possess through personal strength and a better understanding themselves and
My all around purpose as a therapist is to meet each client where they are, walk with them, and assist in processing their emotions in a safe space no matter the amount of time. I use a strengths approach to assist individuals using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I work with clients of all ages, but find a special passion working with teenagers, young adults, and those transitioning through life circumstances. I am a Louisiana native who attended Grambling State University where I received my Undergraduate
Degree in English and a Masters in Social Work. I have experiencing working with children within the child welfare system, inpatient behavioral health, military population, and victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, listening to music, and enjoying time with my two dogs. I also enjoy yoga and arts and crafts as way to unwind. If the sun in out, the blinds areopen with music playing, a candle burning, and you can find me cooking in the kitchen!!
