I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, at Ashe Counseling and Coaching Services. I am often described as a caring, free spirited individual. My clients enjoy my open, but careful approach to their needs. I find fulfillment in helping others navigate life stages and challenges.
My approach to helping others, is pretty simple, flexibility. I understand that everyone has their own style and approach to doing things, so I use a variation of evidence-based therapies including: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Process Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I have experience in working with individuals and couples within Life Stage Changes, Relationship Breakdown, Crisis, PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. My goal is to help my clients process and develop tools that can assist them with either returning to their baseline, or creating a narrative that adjust to where they are now in life.
I am originally a Chicago Native, but relocated to my mother’s hometown in Kentucky as an adolescent. I attended Tennessee State University for my Bachelors, and achieved my Masters in Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago. I have provided services in various areas and population including, adolescents and youth, adult, and geriatric. I have worked in social service, medical, domestic violence, homeless initiative, veterans, and educational settings. As my career evolved, I developed a knowledge and experience to help and assist others within a wide diverse background.
Outside of work, I enjoy gathering with friends and family. I love experiencing life in general such as, attending a museum, running outdoors with friends, finding a new festival, and traveling. You can find me always by the water, I’m truly a beach bum.
