I’m a Licensed Social Worker at Ashe Counseling and Coaching. I am often described as a compassionate, trusting, funny and dependable individual. With my empathic, supportive, non-judgmental approach, I am able to provide a personalized plan to help others navigate through life to find mental wellness. I view my approach as a way to improve self development, personal growth and overall empowerment in gaining control and self confidence of one’s life.

My intentions are to provide a safe space for individuals and couples to be honest and truthful with themselves while exploring and processing their feelings during this journey together. I do understand that everyone is unique and no one plan will fit all. Therefore, I plan to incorporate several evidence-based therapies inclusive of Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy that are appropriate for each individual’s needs.

I was born and raised in Englewood which is located on the Southside of Chicago. After graduating high school, I attended Clark Atlanta University where our motto is “I’ll find a way or make one!” After I received my Bachelors in Psychology, I moved back home to Chicago to receive my Masters in Social Work from Chicago State University.

My background is with homelessness, crisis intervention, mental health and healthcare. I have worked with all age groups and diverse populations and am not afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone and learning new things to broaden my knowledge to sharpen my skills as a therapist. I have experience with diverse populations including all age groups who have experienced personal and interpersonal challenges. Therefore, I do not consider myself to have a comfort zone within my practice. I have always been receptive so that I can continue to help empower and strengthen those who can not advocate for themselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. When I am not shopping and traveling, you may find me attending  comedy shows, concerts or snuggling on my couch watching movies. I love to make memories and live life in the moment!
